Record a Scan

The maximum scanning time is 120 seconds.    Ideally, do not go faster than 0,8 m/s.

    • Hold the device by the handle only
    • At least 3 meters
    • Maximum 30 meters (also for flush drilling) – longer scans cannot be saved
    • Neighboring scans overlap
    • Scanning the same location more than once is possible
  • Stop scan
03.Scan saving

    • Turn
    • Zoom
    • Review quality (pipes clearly visible?)
  • Save scan or discard

Important information on recording

Please note the following points before and during scanning to achieve the best possible results!

01Optimal preparation

  • Scanning the excavation pit with DeepUp is always the last step before the trench is closed again.
  • Scans should always be made contiguously, preferably overlapping, to ensure that everything is recorded. (Overlaps are not billed more than once).
  • A route and labeling can only take place where the scan was made. Non-scanned sections cannot be subsequently labeled.
  • Only what is visible on the scans can be labeled.
  • Ball markers are only placed where they are visible on the scans.

02Scope of the scans

  • Everything that is built must also be scanned. This applies to both open and closed construction methods as well as house feeds. This forms the basis for our documentation and invoicing.
  • House feeds must always be scanned separately.
  • For all installation types that do not take place in an ioen trench, markings must be made on the surface and these must then be scanned. In addition, the head holes must also be recognizable on the scans.

03Behavior and problem solutions

  • Good reception should always be ensured both when scanning and taking photos. If reception is poor, it is advisable to take the longest possible scans within the given scan limit.

04Necessary photos

  • At least one photo should be taken of each important point of interest.
  • Details relevant to documentation and billing must be recorded in photos.

05Additional notes

  • Photos mainly serve as a supplement to the documentation.
  • IMPORTANT The color of the outgoing microtube must be visible in photos of house feeds.
  • Labeling cannot be done using photos alone.
